TROPIC AIR PROVIDES UPDATE ON RECENTLY IMPLEMENTED SECURITY MEASURES AT ALL DOMESTIC STATIONS

San Pedro, Belize
PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

As of April 17, 2025, Tropic Air has implemented enhanced security measures across all domestic stations. These actions are being taken as part of our ongoing commitment to the safety and well-being of our passengers, crew, and the communities we serve.

Going forward, the following enhanced security protocols shall remain implemented:

    • Mandatory Passenger & Personal Item Security Screening: All passengers and personal items will undergo a security screening before boarding any Tropic Air domestic flight.
    • Physical Search Requirement: Every passenger and personal item may be subject to a physical search. The option of over-the-counter check-in or gate-check of any personal item is available at NO CHARGE.
    • Minors: Children are exempt from physical searches unless there is a high level of suspicion regarding possession of a prohibited item. However, all minors must declare themselves by:
      • Emptying the contents of all pockets
      • Lifting garments that may conceal the waist area

We continue to actively evaluate our procedures to implement sustainable measures that ensure the highest level of safety and premium service for our customers. We appreciate your patience and support during this phase.

We will continue to work closely with authorities and stakeholders to monitor the situation and will provide updates should there be any changes to these protocols.
