POSITION OVERVIEW:
A Caravan Pilot in Command is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of passengers and cargo while operating Tropic Air’s Cessna C208 aircraft within regulatory and procedural framework provided, while maintaining high customer service and relation standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum:
- Commercial Pilot’s license with Instrument Rating (C208B).
- Associate Degree.
- English Proficiency minimum ICAO standard Level 5.
- Successful completion of the training course specific to the single crew role if conducting single crew operations.
- CE-208: Total Hours: 2000, in command 1000 hours, of which 150 in command of a turbine engine powered aircraft, 50 hours in type which need not be Pilot in Command, 25 hours flight time under IFR and 15 hours flight time at night.
- PIC 500 (to include 100 hrs. IFR), Multi-Engine turbine 250, In type 50 (which need not be PIC).
- Rating on approval, Total Hours: 500
- 50 Hours on the specific types or class of airplane under IFR, of which 10 hours is as a Pilot in Command, for single crew operations.
- Preferred:
- Airline Transport Pilot’s License
- Bachelor’s Degree

Ramp Agent - Tropic's Ladyville Station, Belize International Airport (BZE)
Tropic Air is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of a Ramp Agent at Tropic’s Ladyville BZE Station.
Reports To: Station Manager
Position Overview: Provide support to passenger luggage handling, marshalling of aircraft, movement of aircraft stairs, aircraft battery plugging and unplugging, boarding, deplaning, mail bags receipt, cargo receipt and movement to storage.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Marshall aircraft as required.
- Loading/unloading of passenger bags, cargo and mail in a safe, timely, and responsible manner.
- Sort baggage and cargo for proper and easier distribution by Cargo Agents.
- Pull, connect, disconnect, and store the auxiliary power unit or battery of the aircraft.
- Place and remove aircraft stairs for the boarding and deplaning of passengers.
- Prepare a list and found report for any items left in the aircraft or terminal and assist with locating misplaced luggage.
- Comply with all safety procedures and airline policies.
- Other duties assigned from time to time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum:
- High School Diploma
- Must have at least 1 year of recent and successful employment experience in relevant field.
Preferred:
- Associates Degree
- 2+ Years of recent and successful employment experience in customer service and relevant field
