Through our scholarship program, we are proud to support deserving students in San Pedro as they continue their educational journey.
The Tropic Air Scholarship Program currently supports students in San Pedro, with the long-term vision of expanding educational opportunities to additional communities throughout Belize.

About the Scholarship
The Wings of Opportunity Scholarship was created by Tropic Air to help young students in San Pedro begin their educational journey with confidence and support. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and reach their full potential, regardless of financial circumstances.
This scholarship is designed for students entering Standards 1 – 6 and provides assistance with essential educational expenses, helping families focus on their child’s success both inside and outside the classroom.
Through this program, Tropic Air is investing in the future of our community by supporting students who demonstrate academic promise, strong character and financial need.
Scholarship Benefits
Recipients may receive assistance with:
- Tuition Fees
- Registration Fees
- School textbooks
- School uniforms
- School supplies
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Wings of Opportunity Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a resident of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye
- Be accepted into or promoted to Standard 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6
- Meet the scholarship’s academic requirements
- Submit a complete application with all required supporting documents
Applicants must submit:
- Completed scholarship application form
- Copy of student Government Identification
- School acceptance or promotion letter
- Most recent report card or academic records
- Parent/Guardian Government Identification
- Any additional supporting documents
Completed Applications should be dropped off at Tropic Air Cargo in San Pedro on or before July 15th, 2026 for consideration for the 2026/2027 school year.

The Celi Nuñez McCorkle Scholarship is part of Tropic Air’s commitment to creating opportunities for the next generation. Established to support one deserving female student from San Pedro throughout her high school journey, the scholarship reflects our belief that education has the power to transform lives. By honoring the legacy of Celi Nuñez McCorkle, we celebrate perseverance, ambition, and the importance of giving back to the communities we proudly serve in San Pedro and beyond.
This scholarship is designed to assist female students entering high school who have demonstrated academic potential, strong character, leadership qualities and financial need. Through educational support and encouragement, the scholarship seeks to empower young women to achieve their goals, contribute positively to their communities, and become future leaders of Belize.

To be eligible for the Celi Nuñez McCorkle Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a female student
- Be a resident of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye
- Be accepted into or currently enrolled in a secondary school
- Meet the scholarship’s academic requirements
- Submit a complete application with all required supporting documents

Scholarship Policies & Requirements
How the Scholarship Program Works
The Tropic Air Scholarship Program is designed to provide meaningful educational support to deserving students while encouraging academic achievement, good citizenship, and personal growth.
Recipients are selected through a competitive application process based on academic performance, financial need, character, and overall application strength. Scholarships are awarded for one academic year and may be renewed annually if all renewal requirements are met.
Funds are paid directly toward approved educational expenses and may include tuition, registration fees, textbooks, uniforms, school supplies, and other approved school-related costs.
Selection Process
All applications undergo a comprehensive review by the Scholarship Committee.
The selection process includes:
- Submission of a completed application and supporting documents.
- Verification of eligibility requirements.
- Review of application form
- Committee recommendation and final approval.
- Notification of successful applicants.
Please note that meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee selection.
Application Timeline
Application Opens: July 1, 2026
Application Deadline: July 15, 2026
Review Period: July–August 2026
Scholarship Awards Announced: August 2026
Important Notes
- All information provided on the application must be truthful and complete.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to request additional documentation or conduct interviews.
- Scholarship awards are subject to available funding.
- Decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final.
Renewal Requirements
Scholarships may be renewed annually, subject to the availability of funding and the recipient’s continued eligibility.
To remain eligible for renewal, recipients must:
- Maintain satisfactory academic performance (80% for Primary School & 3.0 GPA for High School)
- Demonstrate good attendance.
- Exhibit positive conduct and behavior.
- Submit any renewal documentation requested by the Scholarship Committee, including each semester’s report card.
- Participate in an annual review process.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in the scholarship being suspended or discontinued.
