Our Tropic Air Lamanai River Experience starts with 20 minute flight to Tower Hill (Orange Walk), and a 10 minute ride through sugar cane fields that brings you to the banks of the New River. Climb aboard and enjoy a boat ride through mangroves and swamp savannah. See monkeys, birds, bats, flora, turtles, and crocodiles as you make your way to the New River Lagoon and Lamanai Maya site. There, walk through dense jungle and learn about Belizean bush medicine. Explore impressive Maya monuments, and climb the huge El Castillo Temple for an expansive view of the lagoon. Be sure to listen for Howler Monkeys, and look out for Toucans as you stroll through the rainforest. Finally, visit the museum, enjoy a tasty Belizean lunch (included) and visit the gift shop before you get back on board the boat to begin your return journey to San Pedro.

This Tropic Air Lamanai tour is for all with a sense of adventure, and is good for all ages and skill levels.

A 5 star experience. The Lamanai River tour was excellent starting with the flight from San Pedro to Orange Walk. We were delayed for an hour due to fog. The airport staff was very good at keeping us informed on the delay. Captain Steve did a great job flying us there and back. We were greeted by Alberto, the local guide who drove us to the river to enjoy a 25 mile boat ride to the site. Along the way we experienced a lot of birds, wildlife and nature which our guide described. Upon reaching the site we had a nice chicken and rice lunch followed by a full tour. Our guide was excellent and provided more information than we could absorb. The flight back to San Pedro was enjoyable as well.
