TROPIC AIR AMENDS CARGO STATION OPERATIONAL HOURS

PUBLIC NOTICE

Cargo flights continue on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between Belize City Municipal, San Pedro, Caye Caulker and Corozal. Effective today, April 5th, the operational days and hours for the stations to receive and distribute cargo have been amended and are as follows.

Cargo Station Hours (Monday, Wednesday & Friday only)
Belize City Municipal: 10AM to 2PM
San Pedro: 7AM to 2:30PM
Corozal: 7AM to 2PM
Caye Caulker: 9:30AM to 2:30PM

The cargo stations are closed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Cargo flights to/from Orange Walk, Belmopan, San Ignacio, Dangriga, Punta Gorda, and Placencia remain suspended until further notice. There is also no cargo service on public and bank holidays.

As our schedule can change based on unforeseen developments, we encourage all our customers to follow our social media channels for real time updates.

TROPIC AIR AMENDS CARGO SCHEDULE. PASSENGER SERVICES TO BE TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED DUE TO STATE OF EMERGENCY

Due to the National State of Emergency brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, effective tomorrow, April 2, Tropic Air will be temporarily suspending all passenger flights. The last flights are currently scheduled for today, Wednesday, April 1. We anticipate this suspension to last for a period of 30 days.

Cargo flights will continue on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between Belize City Municipal, San Pedro, Caye Caulker and Corozal only. The operational days and hours for the stations to receive and distribute cargo for these flights is shared below. Cargo flights to/from Orange Walk, Belmopan, San Ignacio, Dangriga, Punta Gorda, and Placencia are suspended until further notice.

TROPIC AIR TEMPORARILY SUSPENDS FLIGHTS TO / FROM SAN PEDRO

At the request of the Government of Belize, effectively immediately all flights to/from San Pedro, Ambergris Caye are suspended except for those to the Belize International Airport. Please note all passengers on this route must be foreign nationals with onward tickets traveling out of Belize.

We anticipate this suspension to be for less than 72 hours, and we will update as soon as we can.

TROPIC AIR SUSPENDS FLIGHTS TO BELMOPAN & SAN IGNACIO

Tropic Air has taken the difficult decision to suspend all flights to Belmopan and San Ignacio. The last flight for Belmopan will be on Saturday, March 21st. The last flight for San Ignacio will be on Sunday, March 22nd. Cargo service for both stations is suspended immediately.

Unfortunately, these cuts have become necessary due to the extraordinary circumstances being brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to continuing to serve Belize as we recover from this worldwide challenge.

TROPIC AIR SUSPENDS FLIGHTS TO CANCUN, MEXICO

Updated March 20th, 2020

Due to the extraordinary effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tropic Air has taken the difficult decision to suspend service between Belize City and Cancun, Mexico from March 23rd through May 3, 2020. Our last flight will be on Sunday, March 22nd and we expect to resume daily service on Monday, May 4th, 2020.

TROPIC AIR ROUTE SUSPENSIONS & CARGO OPERATIONS CHANGE

Updated March 19th, 2020

Due to the extraordinary circumstances being brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Tropic Air will have to suspend all flights to Orange Walk (Tower Hill) with immediate effect.  This is in addition to the suspension of flights to Roatan, Honduras and Flores, Guatemala that were announced earlier this week, and were a result of those nations closing their borders.

Cargo service to all stations, including package pick up and drop off, has also been amended. Cargo will now be available Monday to Saturday, until further notice.

Due to border restrictions currently in place, flights from Belize City to Roatan, Honduras and Flores, Peten have been suspended for 30 days.

Cancun flights continue to operate normally.

TROPIC AIR CONTINUING OPERATIONS

Tropic Air is continuing operations in the face of a fast changing environment brought on by the COVID-19 Virus. We are reviewing our operations daily. We plan to continue those operations that are feasible, so long as we have passengers supporting them.

In an effort to weather this storm, some flights may be delayed or combined.

Today Guatemala and Honduras closed their borders requiring us to suspend those flights temporarily.

Updates will be posted, as we get new information.

Tropic Air is Closely Monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19)

At Tropic Air, the safety of our customers and employees is our primary goal. As the situation evolves, we are engaged daily with the Ministry of Health in Belize and other government agencies in the countries we serve. We have not cancelled or suspended any flights or routes due to the current situation, and none of the destinations that we serve are currently listed as geographic risks.

Of course, should any occur, we will quickly announce any adjustments to our procedures or operations so that you can maintain confidence in your travel with us.

Aircraft Cleaning and Cabin Environment — Keeping you safe

All our aircraft are maintained in accordance with an established program aimed at providing a clean and inviting cabin environment. In addition, all of our stations’, Customer Service Representatives, Cargo Agents, and Boarding Agents are also equipped with hand sanitizers. We are conducting a deep disinfecting of all the cabins in our entire fleet every day, and have been every day since the outbreak. All our terminals are also being disinfected daily.

Change and Cancellation Fee Policies
