Customer Service Agent – Caye Caulker

Tropic Air is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Customer Service Agent at Tropic’s Caye Caulker Station Station.

LOCATION:

    • Caye Caulker Station

REPORTS TO:
Station Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provides technical support to logistics and ground operations. This position is critical for service delivery, customer satisfaction and retention. Functions include support to passenger check-in, luggage handling, boarding, deplaning, dispatch and distribution, ticketing & reservations.

DUTIES:

    • Address all ticketing needs of customers
    • Ensure passenger luggage is properly tagged to right destination
    • Address passenger request for changes in reservations
    • Address all check-in, boarding, deplaning, and meet & greet requirements
    • Make a conscious effort to provide excellent customer service and protect customer satisfaction and retention

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Safety conscious
    • Detail Oriented
    • Assertive in performing tasks
    • Ability to work in a time-sensitive, multiple shift, and team-oriented environment
    • Dependable and able to take direction from supervisors
    • Good command of the English language both verbal and written. Spanish at a functional level is an asset.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma. Associates degree preferred.
    • Prior working experience in customer service is an asset

Aircraft Facility Technician – San Pedro

Tropic Air is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Aircraft Facility Technician at Tropic’s Maintenance Department in San Pedro.

LOCATION:

    • San Pedro

REPORTS TO:
Aircraft Facility Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provides technical operational support to staff managing and performing facility maintenance, facility support systems and all equipment associated with the aircraft ground support. This includes but not limited to inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of structural components, infrastructure, ground equipment, compressed air systems, security system, fire prevention systems, water purification system, electrical and plumbing systems.

DUTIES:

    • Carry out repairs and upgrades to aircraft maintenance facilities.
    • Performs scheduled inspection of facility and aircraft support equipment.
    • Maintains storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
    • Fabricate aircraft ground equipment and special equipment as needed.
    • Conduct multi type welding of various materials; operate test equipment and special tools.
    • Completes required documentation and service records related to assigned duties.
    • Train employees in accordance to approved programs to improve working skills and habits, safety aviation practices, and a clean working environment.
    • Assist Station Managers with equipment repairs and needs of other stations.
    • Small Engine service and repair (i.e. golf carts, riding mowers, including transmission and pressure washers).
    • Any other duties assigned from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Safety conscious.
    • Technical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to visual understand.
    • Ability to operated computer and related operating systems.
    • Ability to read, write and communicate using technical terminologies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

MINIMUM:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent technical and vocational training.
    • 1 year of working experience in trouble shooting, maintenance and repair of small engines and building and construction.
    • Intermediate welding experience.

PREFERRED:

    • Associates Degree in industrial studies or applied science (i.e., mechanical, or electrical engineering).
    • 3+ years of working experience in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of small engines and building and construction.
    • Advance welding experience.

Compensation is negotiable and subject to knowledge, skill and experience.
