Parts Clerk – San Pedro

Tropic Air is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Parts Clerk at Tropic’s Maintenance Department in San Pedro.

LOCATION:

    • San Pedro

REPORTS TO:
Parts Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Assists in routine clerical and operational functions such as issuing and receiving parts, imputing data into ARMS, maintaining paper and electronic files.

DUTIES:

    • Distribute and receive parts.
    • Log all requests into specific logbooks and ensure to acquire employee signature at the time of issuing and receiving the items.
    • Maintain stock level and assist in placing order for needed parts.
    • General filing of orders
    • Receive parts ordered.
    • Maintain stockrooms.
    • Pack and send parts for overhaul and repair.
    • Assist in providing professional and timely customer service to internal customers.
    • Any other duties assigned from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Safety conscious
    • Detail Oriented
    • Assertive in performing tasks
    • Ability to work in a time-sensitive, multiple shift, and team-oriented environment
    • Dependable and able to take direction from supervisors
    • Good command of the English language both verbal and written
    • Knowledge of coputer business software and applications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

    • Associates Degree in Management
    • 1+ years working experience in related field.

Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Management.
    • 2 years working experience in a related field.
    • Customer service certifications.

Customer Service Agent – Belize City

Tropic Air is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Customer Service Agent at Tropic’s TZA Station (Belize City).

LOCATION:

    • Belize City

REPORTS TO:
Station Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provide operational support and an unparallel customer service experience in relation to the movement of cargo by air. This position is critical for service delivery, customer satisfaction and retention. Functions are geared towards the effective receipt, processing, routing, storage, and delivery of cargo and mail.

DUTIES:

    • Receive cargo or mail items from customers, prepare information paperwork, and ensure completeness of load and even distribution of weight.
    • Attach address labels, identification codes, and shipping instructions to cargo or mail items.
    • Record cargo or mail shipment costs and weights, flight and airplane numbers and name of pilot on the paperwork.
    • Ensure that required fees are collected for all cargo or mail items.
    • Route received cargo or mail to first available flight or appropriate storage.
    • Notify customers when cargo or mail arrives and assist with retrieving the items.
    • Reconcile all fees collected for cargo and mail shipments.
